Cancellation & Refunds

Refund timelines and policies vary. The details are usually available on your itinerary or the confirmation email you received when booking. Please refer to those.

Depending on the rules of your booking, you may get a direct refund to your original payment method, or you may get credit.

If you’ve been charged a deposit or partial payment, you’ll be refunded for that amount, minus any non-refundable fees.

Once you’ve canceled your booking, you can check the status of your refund with our agent.

Unrecognized Charges

See a charge you don’t recognize? Here are a few scenarios where this might happen. If none of this apply to you, chat with our virtual agent to find out more.
  • Did you make a change to your booking? Your airline, hotel, car rental company, or activity provider may charge fees that we’ll pass on to you.
  • Sometimes, when booking using Pay Later, the service provider might put a hold on your card or charge an early deposit ahead of check-in. In these cases, you need to contact them directly. You can find their contact information in your itinerary.
  • If you book from outside the country or your card’s issuing bank is outside the country, you may be charged an international transaction fee.
  • Did you add anything to your stay while at it? Charges from minibar, wifi or other concepts might appear after check-out.
  • Hotels may charge you if you don’t show up, or show up outside of check-in hours. They might also charge a fee for late check-out.
  • With roundtrip flights that consist of 2 one-way fares, you will see multiple charges on your billing statement, as each segment will be charged separately by the airline.
  • Flying with multiple airlines may be the best fit for your travel needs. And, for us to continue to offer a roundtrip ticket on 2 one-way fares on different airlines in a single flight-only itinerary, we need to charge a booking fee. The fee varies per ticket.
  • Car rentals have very specific additional charges. Make sure to read the policies when picking up the car.
  • If what you’re seeing in your statement reads as a pending charge, it means you started to book travel but did not complete the transaction or cancelled the booking. It disappears when the booking is finalized, or it expires within 5 days. Contact your bank to release the funds or unlock your account.

Refund Timeline

The easiest way to find out when you will get your refund is to chat with our agent, it will give you a personalized timeline.

Alternatively, you can wait for the confirmation you will receive via email which contains information as to when and where you will receive your refund.

In general:

  • It may take up to 24 hours to process your refund. Once that has happened, your bank or payment service (such as PayPal) will take care of the rest. Just know that it may take them 7 business days to send the credit to your account. It may take longer to appear on your credit card statement.
  • Refunds that come from third parties, like airlines or property owners, might take longer to be reimbursed. Check your credit card statement to learn who charged you, you’ll receive your refund from them.
